Between 16 – 18 April 2015, Novapolis Association – Center of Analysis and Initiatives for Development together with the Ministry of Labour, Social Protection and Elderly Persons- Department for Social Dialogue organized in Sinaia, the Seminar for Preparing the Thematic Network in the field of human resources and social inclusion, youth mobility and migration.

The purpose and the objectives of the Thematic Network aim at developing ways of communication between relevant institutions that have significant results in the concernedfield and enable the exchange of ideas and good practices between the members of the network. Also, the Network has the role of being a community permanently connected to information of interest and news regarding the methods and instruments within the development of human resources field, mainly regarding the youth migration and mobility.

The seminar Preparing the Thematic Network created an appropriate space for learning, debate and discussions regarding the situation of youth on the labour market in Romania, influencing factors of the labour migration, fundamental elements of social dialogue, legislative and institutional framework, equal opportunities and inclusive labour market for youth.

Throughout the two and a half days of seminar, the participants exchanged information regarding the present difficulties youth are facing to access the labour market and they found out interesting information about the youth migration in Romania, about increasing the professional insertion capacity of youth on the labour market from the perspective of the political, administrative-institutional and social partnership mechanisms, about plans, schemes and strategies for social inclusion and youth integration on the labour market.

The event took place within the sub activity A7.2 – Organizing and Participating in seminars in the field of human resources development, professional insertion and social inclusion of the project ”Pro Juvenes – Transnational Partnership for an Inclusive Labour Market for Youth”, project co-financed from the European Social Fund (ESF) through the Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development 2007-2013, Investing in people!

The general objective of the project is to strengthen policies and practices related to employment and network development at European level as well as strengthen the labour market actors’ capacity (trade unions and employers’ organizations, public authorities, non-governmental organizations) to get actively involved in promoting employment and social inclusion of young people by implementing policies aimed at their employment – the volunteering law, the internship law, the apprenticeship law etc.

The project is implemented by The Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Protection and Elderly – Social Dialogue Department in partnership with: AUR- National Association of Human Resources Specialists – Partner 1, Novapolis Association – Center for Analysis and Development Initiatives – Partner 2, National Trade Union Confederation Meridian – Partner 3, the General Confederation of Romanian Industrial Employers – Partner 4, for a period of 12 months and has a total eligible value of 10,988,390 lei, out of which 75% is represented by the grant awarded by the European Social Fund.
