Novapolis Association – Center of Analysis and Initiatives for Development together with the Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Protection and Elderly organized on 28th of July 2015, at Marshall Garden Hotel, Bucharest, the Round Table in the field of human resources and social inclusion, youth mobility and migration, inclusive labor market for youth.
The round table was deployed in the context of realizing within the project ”Pro Juvenes – Transnational partnership for an inclusive labour market for youth” of a European comparative study regarding intra-European mobility and youth migration.
On this ocassion there were present in order to offer extra information and to answer all the questions, Mrs. Angelica Sabiescu, Project Manager Pro Juvenes and Mrs. Iris Alexe, the President of Novapolis Association and experts and specialists in the field from Romania, Spain and Italy.
The Round Table also benefited of the presence of representatives of transnational entities that support Novapolis Association in Spain – Federation of Romanian Associations in Spain (FEDROM) and in Italy – Unione degli Assessorati alle politiche socio-sanitarie e del lavoro.
The Event ocassioned debates and discussions on present topics like:
- development of human resources, social inclusion and youth integration on labour market
- mobility and migration of youth – problems, challenges and answers
- specific measures regarding youth – Strategy for youth, Guarantee for youth
- the status of youth in Romania: concerns, hopes, attitudes and life style
- aspects regarding youth and Romanian communities in Spain and Italy
The participants discussed about the problems youth are facing nowadays regarding access to the labor market and learnt a lot of information about youth migration, about increasing the capacity of professional insertion of youth on labour market viewed from the perspective of political, administrative-institutional and of social partnership mechanisms, about plans, schemes and strategies for social inclusion and integration of youth on the labour market.
The event took place within the sub activity A7.4 – Organization and participation events in the field of human resource development and social inclusion of the project “Pro Juvenes– trans-national partnership for an inclusive labour market for youth” project, co-funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) through the Sectoral Operational Programme Human Resources Development 2007-2013, Investing in people!
The general objective of the project is to strengthen policies and practices related to employment and network development at European level, as well as to strengthen the actors’ within the labour market capacity (trade unions and employers’ organizations, public authorities, NGOs) to be actively involved in promoting employment and social inclusion for youths by implementing policies that aim at their employment – the volunteering law, the internship law, the apprenticeship law etc.
The project is implemented by The Ministry of Labour, Family, Social Protection and Elderly – Social Dialogue Department in partnership with: “AUR” – National Association of Human Resources Specialists – Partner 1, Novapolis Association – Center for Analysis and Development Initiatives – Partner 2, National Trade Union Confederation Meridian – Partner 3, and the General Confederation of Romanian Industrial Employers – Partner 4, for a period of 12 months, at a national level, having a total eligible value of 10,988,390 lei, 75% of which is represented by the grant awarded by the European Social Fund (ESF).
