SAFE- Storytelling sessions

Between June 10 and 25, 2025, the Novapolis Association organized several storytelling sessions as part of the project SAFE: Social Awareness for (War) Experience – contract no. 2024-1-DE04-KA220-YOU-000243072, ERASMUS+. A total of 26 young people aged 15 to 29, directly or indirectly affected by the war in Ukraine, took part in the sessions.

These meetings were held in Constanta, in small, intimate groups of 5–7 participants per session, with the primary goal of creating a safe space for voluntary and unconditional storytelling, ensuring the confidentiality of the entire process.

The stories shared had a remarkable impact on both individuals and the group as a whole. The methods used were perfectly suited to this purpose. Throughout, the specialists involved continually emphasized the importance of being heard and skilfully navigated the emotional dynamics of the sessions, truly listening to every story told.
