PRISMA

Promoting Resilience and Inclusion through Sport and Mental Aid

Call: PPPA-SPORT-2024-EMERGENCY-YOUTH — Sport Supports – emergency sport actions for youth

The PRISMA project is a direct response to the escalating challenges faced by young people, particularly refugees from Ukraine and those in vulnerable situations, who often experience trauma, displacement, and social exclusion. Sport offers a powerful, universal language to address these issues.

Project duration: July 2025 – December 2026

Budget: 279.270 euro

Coordinator: Clubul Sportiv Municipal Constanta – CSM Constanta

Parteners:

  • Universitatea Ovidius din Constanta, Facultatea de Educatie si Sport
  • Asociatia Novapolis – Centrul De Analize Si Initiative Pentru Dezvoltare
  • Asociatia Clubul Sportiv Arena Constanta
  • European Culture and Sport Organization

Core Approach: the project aims to implement targeted sport activities that go beyond physical exercise. The methodology integrates psychosocial support to help youth process experiences, develop coping mechanisms, and regain a sense of normalcy and stability.

Holistic Development: PRISMA focuses on promoting not just physical health, but also mental well-being, social integration, and personal development (e.g., teamwork, leadership, discipline) through dedicated training, structured activities and supportive sports environments.

Target Population: Primarily young refugees from Ukraine and other vulnerable youth, aged approximately [e.g. 10-25], who can benefit most from structured recreational and therapeutic activities.

Geographical Scope: While activities will be centered in Constanta, Romania, the project aims to develop replicable models and resources with wider European applicability.
