As part of the ConstantaAID4Ukrainians: Help for Ukrainian Refugees and TCNs in Constanta and the South-East Region project, ConstantaAID4Ukrainians actioned to strengthen prevention and protection efforts related to human trafficking, labour exploitation, and gender-based violence (GBV) among refugees and vulnerable migrant communities.
During 2025–2026, the project included two online awareness and capacity-building sessions focused on the prevention of trafficking and labour exploitation, as well as support mechanisms for trafficking and GBV survivors, involving 65 participants representing public institutions, NGOs, media representatives, and other relevant stakeholders. In addition, two offline training sessions facilitated by specialists in the field of human trafficking prevention and victim support brought together 51 participants and created opportunities for practical learning, professional exchange, and interinstitutional cooperation.
The initiative also developed important educational and awareness activities throughout 2024 through two online sessions dedicated to the prevention of trafficking and labour exploitation and support for survivors, involving a total of 100 participants, as well as an offline workshop focused on human trafficking in humanitarian crises, attended by 29 participants.
Through these activities, ConstantaAID4Ukrainians contributed to safer and more informed communities while strengthening local capacities to respond to the risks and vulnerabilities faced by refugees and third-country nationals in the region.
