This report presents a series of portraits and stories of Ukrainian refugees, beneficiaries of Constanta ROUA Center between 2022 and 2026, highlighting their experiences and progress on their path to inclusion into the Romanian society. ROUA Center was established in September 2022, in Constanta, by Novapolis Association- Center of Analysis and Initiatives for Development within the project ‘ConstantaAID4Ukrainians – Help for Ukrainian refugees and TCNs in Constanta and South-East region’, no. K-ROM-2022-4068, funded by Diakonie Katastrophenhilfe.
The purpose of this document is to provide a qualitative perspective on the impact of the Constanta ROUA Center’ programs and services, illustrating how individualized support has contributed to the personal, social, and educational development of the Ukrainian refugees and their families.
During the period September 2022 – March 2026, Novapolis implemented through Constanta ROUA Center targeted interventions aimed at fostering inclusion, strengthening resilience, and promoting overall well-being among vulnerable beneficiaries. Through educational assistance, psychosocial support, community engagement activities, and family-centered approaches, the team sought to respond to the diverse needs of the Ukrainian refugees that asked for assistance and support.
The case studies included in this report offer insight into the challenges faced by beneficiaries, the tailored support provided, and the measurable and observed outcomes achieved. Together, they reflect both the complexity of the situations encountered and the meaningful progress made through sustained, structured intervention. This collection of stories and portraits aims to contribute to a broader understanding of the Constanta ROUA Center interventions’ impact and to support continued assistance programs development and stakeholders’ engagement.
