Novapolis Association – Center for Analysis and Initiatives for Development, together with the Tulcea Municipality City Hall, organized an workshop in March 2025 rearding KAMALE – the Subgranting Scheme for Youth Actions on Climate Change in Tulcea County.
The workshop, part of the SUBLIME project, contract no. NDICI CHALLENGE/2023/448-265, co-financed by the European Union through the EuropeAid program, aimed to bring together young people, youth leaders, and active stakeholders in sustainable development to inform them about KAMALE funding opportunities—a call for project ideas developed in Tulcea County by young people aged 15 to 30 years. During the event, the application requirements, selection criteria, and necessary documentation were presented.
In April 2025, five online training sessions were conducted to prepare all KAMALE beneficiaries for the next steps in the selection process: submitting a revised proposal and signing the funding agreement. The training sessions were organized at a transnational level, involving participants from different EU countries.
Main topics covered in the sessions:
– Empowering Youth for Climate Justice: From inner development to community action
– How to Develop Your Idea: From project concept to final proposal
– Grant Management and Monitoring: Evaluation, accountability, and learning
Through these activities, was created a space for discussions regarding existing community initiatives and best practices at the local level and within Tulcea County in terms of climate change and sustainable development. The debates also addressed challenges and opportunities related to local sustainable development goals (SDGs).
