Under the direct assistance component of the ConstantaAID4Ukrainians: Help for Ukrainian Refugees and TCNs in Constanța and the South-East Region project, comprehensive social, informational, and counselling services were delivered between 2022 and 2026 to support the immediate needs and long-term integration of refugees and third-country nationals.
Across the implementation period, a total of 4,637 beneficiaries received needs-based counselling on access to education, benefits, temporary shelter, healthcare, and other essential public services (1,602 in 2022–2023, 1,418 in 2024, and 1,617 in 2025–2026).
All beneficiaries were systematically assessed for protection risks and received tailored protection services, including life-saving assistance, legal and psychosocial support, economic inclusion services, Romanian language support, and integration assistance. Individual intervention plans were developed and implemented by a multidisciplinary team to address immediate needs, improve overall well-being, and prevent risks of exploitation and abuse.
Through these coordinated and sustained interventions, Novapolis Association significantly contributed to strengthening protection systems, enhancing access to essential services, and supporting the social inclusion and resilience of refugees and third-country nationals in Constanța and the South-East region of Romania.
