Career assistance counseling to find a job or become self-employed and start a business

Under the career assistance counselling component of the ConstantaAID4Ukrainians: Help for Ukrainian Refugees and TCNs in Constanta and the South-East Region project, a comprehensive set of employability, entrepreneurship, and socio-economic integration activities were implemented between 2022 and 2026 to support refugees and third-country nationals in accessing the labour market, becoming self-employed, or starting a business.

During 2022–2023, 440 beneficiaries received career assistance counselling, including support with CV preparation and business ideas, resulting in 55 beneficiaries securing employment.

In 2025–2026, 464 beneficiaries received career assistance counselling aimed at supporting job placement, self-employment, and business development. In addition, participants benefited from a range of complementary activities, including business-related workshops, university open days, vocational orientation sessions, labour market engagement events, and institutional job fairs, involving representatives of universities, employment agencies, fiscal authorities, and private sector specialists.

Across the 2022–2026 implementation period, these activities contributed to strengthening employability skills, fostering entrepreneurship, and improving access to labour market opportunities for refugees and third-country nationals in Constanța and the South-East region of Romania.
