Study CSOs cooperation in the Black Sea region in the humanitarian response for Ukrainian citizens fleeing the conflict
Novapolis Association-Centre for Analysis and Initiatives for Development conducted the study CSOs cooperation in the Black Sea region in the humanitarian response for Ukrainian citizens fleeing the conflict within project ”BSMigraNet – Regional cooperation and capacity building for Ukrainian CSOs for a coordinated humanitarian response in the Black Sea”.
The project ”BSMigraNet – Regional cooperation and capacity building for Ukrainian CSOs for a coordinated humanitarian response in the Black Sea” was implemented by the Novapolis Association-Centre for Analysis and Initiatives for Development and PRO BONO Information and Resource Center within the ”Building CSO Capacity for Regional Cooperation within the Black Sea Region” project, implemented by the Romanian NGDO Platform – FOND in 2022 and is funded by the European Union.
The analysis assesses and map up the needs of CSOs in UA, RO, MD and the Black Sea region regarding coordinated response and how to deal with the humanitarian crisis caused by the war in Ukraine and the challenges in public-private coordination in providing an adequate response to the needs of Ukrainian citizens fleeing the conflict. response to the needs of Ukrainian citizens fleeing the conflict.
At the same time the study gathers relevant practices and inspiring actions from the UA, RO, MD and other countries in the Black Sea region or with important experience in management of migratory flows or providing humanitarian assistance.
Moreover, the study provides key recommendations, propose tools and solutions to improve the mechanisms for coordinating the response that public institutions and non-governmental organizations and the population can provide in managing a humanitarian crisis and the affected Ukrainian population.
