The World Vision Foundation Romania, as Beneficiary, together with the Novapolis Association – Center of Analysis and Initiatives for Development – Partner 1 and the Center for Civic Resources Constanța – Partner 2, organized Wednesday, December 7th 2016, the quarterly coordination meeting of the public institutions and actors involved in the integration of beneficiaries of international protection (BIP) and third-country nationals (TCNs) from Region 2: counties of Constanţa, Tulcea, Brăila, Vrancea, Bacău, Vaslui and Galaţi.

Hosted by the Constanța County Prefect’s Office, the event was organized within the „INTEGRATION+: Services and assistance for migrants in Region 2” project, funded by the National Fund – Asylum, Migration and Integration (contract reference number: FAMI/15.03.02), with a duration of 12 months and a total value of 1.469.247,47 RON.

The goal of this second quarterly coordination meeting was that of providing the institutions, the authorities, the social partners and the NGOs organizing activities and participating in the integration of migrants in Region 2, with an optimal space for finding the very best methods and instruments to work together. More than that, the quarterly coordination meeting is part of the initiatives aimed at developing partnerships and networks of local support, so as to strengthen the capacity of relevant actors and the inter-institutional cooperation in Region 2 to facilitate access and provide assistance services- social, medical, psychological, legal, educational, labour market etc., adapted to the specific needs of BIP and TCNs legally residing in Romania.

The participants also discussed the activities and results of the Regional Centres for Integration in Galați and Constanța and the Working Point in Vaslui, focussing on the role of local communities and the involment of the organizations and public institutions in Constanţa, Tulcea, Brăila, Vrancea, Bacău, Vaslui and Galaţi in supporting the integration of BIP and TCNs in Region 2. The representatives of the institutions and of the actors involved in the integration process of BIP and TCNs further identified solutions for cooperation and coordination of the actions locally and regionally for supporting the integration of migrants in Romania.
